Monthly Strata Meeting

First Meeting of the 2026 - 2027 Strata Council will be held on:

Friday, October 2^nd AT 10:00 AM.

@ Clubhouse

This will be an 'in person' meeting. 

As per bylaw Division 1 (17) (3):  Owners may attend as observers. 

Please note that 'observers' will be asked to leave prior to the 'in camera' portion of the agenda. (Bylaw 1 (17) (4)

When observing a strata meeting, it is important to understand the structure and purpose of the meeting. Strata meetings can include council meetings, AGMs, and SGMs, each with its own agenda and focus. Here are some key points to expect during a strata meeting:

• Agenda Review: The meeting agenda should be distributed in advance, detailing each item to be discussed and allocating time for each. This helps keep the meeting focused and on schedule.

  
  

• Quorum: Ensure that the meeting has the required quorum, as per the Strata Property Act of BC, which may require a certain percentage of the strata's total votes to be present or represented.

  
  

• Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly define the roles of the chairperson, secretary, and other key participants. Each role should be aware of their responsibilities during the meeting.

  
  

• Meeting Duration: Aim to keep the meeting to a maximum of 45 minutes and no longer than an hour to maintain productivity and prevent lengthy discussions.

  
  

• Professionalism: Treat the meeting professionally and respectfully, treating the role of strata council member as a volunteer position.

  
  

• Action Items: Ensure that action items from previous meetings are tracked and completed, and that minutes reference updates on outstanding tasks.
